About the Department

The role of Community Education is to develop and promote the wise use of human and facility resources within the school district to foster lifelong learning, social interaction and fun for our district residents.

Community Education is served by a volunteer Advisory Council. The council is responsible for reviewing programs and activities and suggesting new Community Education programs. The 11 member advisory council consists of a broad spectrum of community members representing all areas of the population.

Current council membership includes:

  • Kathy Geary, Chair
  • Rob Olsen, Vice Chair
  • Judi Klosterman
  • Becky Bodien
  • Dave Niemi
  • Greg Pruszinske
  • Mark Haugen
  • Jason Kindred
  • Sue Hiltner
Meetings are held throughout the year in the District Office Great Room.  The public is welcome to attend.

If you are interested in serving on our Community Education Advisory Council, please contact Michelle Peacock at email - Michelle Peacock.
