Student Council

Student Council is a representative structure for students to become involved and serve the Ordean East student body, school, and broader community. Individual student councilors are expected to:

  • Attend student council meetings once a week

  • Respectfully discuss ideas and concerns

  • Work at special events or on any service projects chosen by the council as a whole

  • Serve as a positive role model to other students

In the school year 2014-2015, Ordean's Student Council sponsored many school wide events:
*Helped with 6th grade orientation days in May and August

*Food Drive for the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank at Thanksgiving
*Goat Drive for Free the Children. We donated over 50 goats!

*School wide assemblies that included grade level and staff competitions
*Homebase competitions

*Introduced new recycling initiatives

*Help with homebase meetings around the themes of respect and anti bullying.

*Anti Bully Campaign including the day of silence

*Spirit Weeks

*Greeters at open house and spring conferences
