Hello Everyone!! My name is Ms. Schluter and I am very excited to be the school counselor here in Fosston. A little bit about myself, I graduated from NDSU and received my M.Ed in Counseling. The two main counseling theories I use while working with students are, Solution-Focused Brief Counseling and Person-Centered Counseling. Solution Focused Brief Counseling helps students to understand that no problem is constant, and to help them focus on the solutions rather than focusing on the problem. Person-Centered counseling provides students with unconditional positive regard, empathy, and congruency.

Please visit the counseling website for more information on scholarships, financial aid, college, test prep, and much more!!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
