  • Bulldogs Bounce Back It was a packed house Tuesday night for the PEM Boys Basketball home opener.  After a tie game at 10-10, the Bulldogs got rolling big time.  Excellent interior passing and perimeter defense led the Dogs to a 31-15 halftime score. The pressure didn't stop in the second half.  PEM got out to a 28 point lead as they dropped 7 three pointers on the Eagles and held on to secure their first victory of the season 66-56.  The Bulldogs were led by Sophomore PG Barron Holtz who finished with 17 points.  Junior Gavin Folkert chipped in 13 points including two 3's from downtown.  Evan Burdick and Brady Ziebell each had 8 points and the Bulldogs ...

  • Bulldogs Drop Opener Cold shooting for the Bulldogs and hot shooting for Wabasha-Kellogg spelled bad news for the local team.  PEM shot 34% from the field and a putrid 13% from 3pt. land.  Defensive pressure clawed the Bulldogs back from a 9 point halftime deficit to tie the game with 5 minutes to go but the hot shooting Falcons took the edge back and led the rest of the way to end the game with a 57-53 defeat for the Dogs.  Barron Holtz led PEM with 19 points and 7 steals.  Evan Burdick chipped in with 9 points and 9 rebounds.  The Bulldogs will need to pick themselves up again quickly to take on the Dover-Eyota Eagles on Tuesday night ...

  • Basketball Opener @ W-K on Friday The boys' basketball opening game is this Friday at Wabasha-Kellogg High School in Wabasha, MN.  The boys have been practicing hard and preparing for a great game.  The games will start with the Junior High at 4:30 and 5:30.  There is NO 9th grade game this week as W-K has limited numbers.  B Squad will start at 6:00 and Varsity will play at 7:30PM. I hope you can make it over to W-K to cheer on the 15-16 Bulldogs as they start their journey.

  • 9th Grade Owatonna Tournament a Success for Dogs The 9th Grade Bulldog basketball team traveled to Owatonna on Saturday to compete in the first games of the season.   With a tough first game loss against New Prague 9th grade, the Dogs made a commitment to win the rest of their games.  That's exactly what happened.  The Bulldogs defeated Rochester Lourdes in the Consolation Championship to finish the day with a 3-1 record.  Up next for the Bulldogs will be Dover-Eyota on Tuesday, November 24th.
