Counseling
Individual Counseling
Students will face a variety of challenges throughout middle and high school. School counselors are available to help and provide individual services that meet the needs of all students with personal/social problems, academic concerns, and career/college questions.
Examples of challenges include:
Depression
Suicidal Feelings
Anxiety
Peer Relationships
Family Relationships
Academic Struggles
Career/College
Grief/Death
Divorce
Group Counseling
Small groups give students the opportunity to connect and receive support from others who are going through similar experiences.
Groups typically run once a week, or every other week, for 6 to 8 weeks based on student need. These small groups will run an entire class period. Small groups change class periods so students don't miss the same class consistently. Student need is based on teacher and/or self referral. Permission forms will be sent home for parents/guardians to sign and bring back to me.
