Hi! My name is Tara Huestis. After seven years of day-to-day and long-term substitute teaching in District 197, I started teaching at Heritage E-STEM Magnet School in 2013. I grew up and went to school in Chicago through 6th grade and then my family moved to the Twin Cities where I began attending school in ISD 197. I was a student at Grass Jr High, Friendly Hills Middle School, and Sibley High School. I graduated from Winona State University where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Middle School Math. I also received my Master's degree in Educational Technology from Concordia University. I enjoy reading, baking, volunteering with my church, drinking way too much coffee, and spending time with my family and friends.
