I attended schools in the 197 district from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Friendly Hills holds a special place in my heart. The year FHMS was opened, I was in 6th grade. It has been fun to be both a student and now a teacher working with some of my past teachers. I graduated in 2004 from Henry Sibley and then went to college at Minnesota State University, Mankato and spent one semester at University of Wisconsin, River Falls. I graduated from Mankato in December 2008 after student teaching in Lakeville. In 2018, I completed my Master's degree at Concordia University, St. Paul.

In the past, I coached 8th grade volleyball and taught Minds in the Middle (Targeted Services) after school as well as over the summer.

I have a four-year-old daughter and a two-year-old son! It has been so great spending the summers with my kids and watching them grow and learn. When I am not at school, I enjoy very long walks (between 4 and 8 miles).  I also love to read children's novels, so I can make recommendations to my students. You can find what I am currently reading below or click on the side tab,  "Mrs. Lewis's Reading List" for books I've read and enjoyed in the past!
