About The Team

We are recruiting teammates for the 2019 season!

Parents and students alike can find important news on our website by exploring the links in the left panel of this page.

  • The Burnsville High School Mountain Bike team is a co-ed team for students who will be in 6th-12th grade in the Fall, in district #191. Our team is also open to students who live in the district but have elected to attend alternative schools, as long as those schools do not have a mountain bike team.

  • The team rides from July 9 through October 29. There are two awards banquets in early November, one for the league and one for the team.

  • The BHS Mountain Bike Team is part of the Minnesota High School Cycling League

  • You do not need prior mountain biking experience to join.

  • The team accepts all interested riders, even if you participate in another Fall sport. There are no try-outs and no one is "benched."

  • While many students join because they want to try mountain bike racing, racing is not required. You can join the team as an adventure rider, attend practices and race pre-rides, and choose not to compete in the actual races.

  • The BHS Mountain Bike team is a club sport at the high school where a student can letter if they meet the criteria.
