7th grade life science studies living things and their interactions with the environment.  The class is basically a middle school biology course.  Some major topics we  study are:
  •     scientific method and investigation
  •     characteristics of life
  •     cells
  •     genetics
  •     diversity of plants and animals
  •     ecology
Many students remember 7th grade science as the "dissection" class as we do comparative anatomy of arthropods (giant grasshopper, crayfish), annelids (earthworm), and virtual dissections of cold blooded vertebrates (frog).
