"Exercise is the single most important tool you have to improve brain function."
John J. Ratey- SPARK The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and the Brain.

Howdy,  I'm Mr. Stengrim.  I have taught Physical Education in District 181 for 18 years, and have loved every minute of it.  I am originally from Thief River Falls, MN. My wife Kari is a yoga & pilates teacher. I have 2 boys Kalvin and Kade.  They attend Riverside Elementary School.

I attended Bemidji State University earning both my undergraduate degree and my M. Ed. from there.
I was an athlete as well competing in Ice Hockey and Baseball.  In Ice Hockey we won the Division II National Championship in 1993, 1994, and 1995.  In Baseball we set the school record for wins in 1994 and was the team Captain in 1995.

The Forestview Fieldhouse houses all of the Physical Education classes at Forestview Middle School.  Grades 5-8 have Phys. Ed. classes every other day for the entire school year.

The facility contains 4 regulation basketball courts, a wrestling room, a fitness circuit, a weight room, and an indoor track.

In an effort to bring families into our Fieldhouse, we have incorporated evenings to bring families into our gyms for some family activity.  Parents and family members are invited to come in and participate in some of the same activities that their children do , during their Phys. Ed. Classes.

Evenings are scheduled for:
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 10TH - 5:00 -7:00

MONDAY, MAY 5TH - 5:00- 7:00
Its a great time to visit with your childs Phys. Ed teacher and see how they are doing.  Come dressed for activity, and bring the whole family.
Activities include : Obstacle Course, Badminton, VolleyBall, Pacer Run, Fitness Circuit, Strength Training.
