I am so very excited for this school year with this amazing group of second graders. This will be my 9th group of students at La Academia! Want a peek into our classroom? I am a strong supporter of technology in the classroom to help create a 21st century learner, yet I simply cannot ignore the importance of literacy during the primary years. As a class we will learn how to read different types of literature, and how to research questions we may wonder on our own. Through integrating science, math, and social studies into the literacy driven classroom, we will build life-long learners! As I personalize learning for all students, I hope to provide them with what they each individually need to continue to grow and flourish at La Academia. We will work hard, read lots, laugh more and create everlasting memories all along the way!!

Estoy muy emocionada por este año escolar con ese grupo fabuloso de niños. ¡Será me noveno año en La Academia! ¿Quieren ver como será nuestra clase? Me encanta usar la tecnología en el aula para ayudar a crear un estudiante del siglo 21, sin embargo, yo simplemente no puedo pasar la importancia de la lectura durante los años de la primaria. Vamos a aprender a leer diferentes tipos de literatura, y cómo investigar preguntas que nos preguntamos. A través de la integración de la ciencia, las matemáticas y las ciencias sociales en el aulade lectura, estaremos construyendo estudiantes por todo la vida. Como puedo personalizar el aprendizaje de todos los estudiantes, espero darles lo que necesitan cada uno para continuar creciendo y floreciendo en La Academia. Vamos a trabajar duro, leer un montón, reír más, y crear recuerdos que nunca vamos a olvidar. :)
