I have been teaching in ECCS since the fall of 2014. I have taught Spanish at Chaska MS West, Pioneer Ridge, and Chanhassen HS.
In 2010 I graduated with a B.A. in Spanish Studies and a minor in Latin American Studies from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. I earned my M.Ed. in World Language Education from DePaul University in Chicago in 2013.
In the spring of 2009 I studied abroad in Mérida, Venezuela, where I lived with a host family and traveled around the country. I took classes in linguistics, Venezuelan art, geography, and literature. I have also been fortunate to travel to many other Spanish-speaking countries such as Colombia, Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and U.S. territory Puerto Rico.

This summer I chaperoned a school trip to Ecuador. 24 upper-level Spanish students from Chanhassen and Chaska high schools participated in the cultural exchange. We traveled to many parts of the country including Quito, Otavalo, Baños, the Amazon, and Cuenca. The highlight of the trip was seeing our students connect with the people of Ecuador and grow in their Spanish speaking abilities!
