Thank you for your interest in auditioning for a student leader position in the 2025-26 Chaska High School Band program. 

Please note that you will need to complete the following elements for your application by Friday, May 30th:

• Drum major and Student leader candidates need to complete this Google Form

• Drum major candidates will also need to submit the following elements:

  1. A recording of yourself conducting Bang Bang

     • You will have four measures before you need to start conducting in time to the audio recording.  Check out the recording advice video below. :) 

     • Use the cut-off that I demonstrate below (on 1) to end the excerpt. You can then punch beat 2. Ask me for some help if that doesn't make sense. 

     • I'm happy to get you a score/part for this piece - just ask me. 

  2. A recording of yourself giving the following commands: Attention, Mark Time, Forward March & Halt.

There will be three help sessions for anyone interested in the Drum Major role. Those sessions will all be held during the AM WIN sessions on 5/22, 5/27, & 5/28.
