PTO Treasurer Marylene Michelet is the Tombola Queen! Over spring break, she amassed some amazing tombola prizes to be given away at the May 5 International Dinner Potluck, sponsored each year by the PTO.
The potluck is a family event. Each family that attends should bring a dish that can serve 10 people, whether it is an appetizer or main dish, salad, side dish, or dessert. Being the school that we are and the occasion that we are celebrating, we encourage you to bring a specialty of your home country -- a family favorite, a holiday dish, or a signature dish that reflects your cultural background.
The International Dinner will be Saturday, May 5, 7 p.m., in the gym and surrounding areas. We've expanded our buffet area in hopes of avoiding the crowds at the tables when the dinner opens. There will be live music, dancing, the tombola, and lots of fun. The entry fee is 1,000 cfa per person, 500 cfa for children under 10, free for children under 2. We will be pre-selling admission tickets and tombola tickets at school beginning Monday, April 31. Please plan on attending.

This is only a sample of the prizes we'll be giving away. All of our donors will be well advertised in the publicity and program for the dinner. So if you have a favorite shop or service provider that might donate vouchers or merchandise, please approach them. Or if you own or work for an enterprise that is frequented by the ex-pat community, this is an excellent way to advertise. Marylene has a letter in her office she can give you that makes the request on behalf of the school.
