The Conti Ransomware gang has startled many for their criminally effective startup environment. Well organized with third party affiliates and even “bounties” for enterprise insiders to provide them with information on their own organizations makes them Conti is one of the most prolific ransomware gangs today. Cymulate’s Dave Klein, cybersecurity expert, author and researcher looks at this criminal organization’s best attack practice and how you can better defend yourself against them and other attackers.

About the speaker:
Dave Klein is a 20 plus year veteran of cybersecurity, Dave is a cybersecurity expert, researcher, writer, and broadcaster. He works with enterprises, governments and other industry thought leaders on the challenges of securing modern hybrid cloud environments. He is a globally recognized leader within the industry. He is driven by the concept that cybersecurity to be successful, must be tied to enterprise business risk reduction and competitive differentiation by being a business enabler not disabler. He also feels cybersecurity must be adoptable by all and emphasizes the importance of being able to reach all skill levels encouraging easy adoption and growth. Dave worked with other vendors, government, and private sector entities on the NIST response to Presidential Policy Directive 21 on Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience.

In order to process CPEs (Continuing Professional Education points) for members, please double check your (ISC)² member number is entered correctly.
We will use Zoom's webinar attendance report to compute attendees' CPEs. To get the full 2 CPEs for the meeting requires attendance from the scheduled start time to the end of the meeting. Late arrivals and/or early departures will receive CPEs based on minutes attended, rounded down to 0.25 CPE increments.
If you need to self-submit your CPEs for any reason (such as not entering an (ISC)² member number), use 1 CPE per hour in 0.25 CPE increments for the portion of the 2 hours you attended. If the meeting ends before 2 hours, full attendance still counts for 2 CPEs.
