We invite applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Political Science in the area of comparative politics with teaching and research interests in East Asian or Chinese politics. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in political science or a related field and should provide evidence of outstanding achievement and potential.
The Department of Political Science (http://www.fas.nus.edu.sg/pol/) has about twenty-five full-time faculty members working in all major areas of political science. It shares the ideals of excellence of the University (http://www.nus.edu.sg/) and its Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (http://www.fas.nus.edu.sg/), which are ranked among the best in the world. Faculty normally teach three courses per year and supervise honours and graduate research students. Compensation at NUS is highly competitive and includes eligibility for annual salary increments, performance bonuses, a housing allowance, and other benefits, as well as generous research support.
