Professorship in political science with special duties in parliamentary research.
The Department of Political Science of the University of Copenhagen invites applications from political science candidates for a temporary professorial position in political science with special duties to strengthen at the international level the Department’s research and teaching within the field of parliamentary research. Appointment is to be made as soon as possible.
The tenure of the professorship is 5 years with the possibility of an extension of up to 3 years. When the professorship expires, the appointee is ensured employment and remuneration as associate professor.
Qualifications and Job Description
The academic qualifications sought correspond to those that are for normal professorial positions. The successful candidate will be expected to meet the following special duties to strengthen and contribute to the development of theoretical and empirical research and teaching in the field of parliamentary research with special emphasis on the Danish parliament, its external relations to the ministries and the EU and the international theoretical and methodological development within the field of parliamentary research.

Salary and conditions of Employment
Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). In addition to the salary, allowances can be negotiated. The annual salary is currently DKK 566,315 (EUR 76.000),, exclusive of a pension contribution of 17.1 %. A special 33% tax scheme is offered for up to three years to researchers recruited abroad (please see http://ism.ku.dk/taxes).

The Dean will announce the Assessment Committee after the application deadline. It should be noted that the Assessment Committee may require supplementary academic documentation in connection with the deliberation. If so, the respective applicants will be notified.
When the Assessment Committee has completed its deliberation, each applicant will receive only the part of the Committee’s assessment that concerns the applicant him- or herself.
