Position Summary:
The Global Experience Office (GEO), seeks a qualified individual for the role of Associate Director for New Program Development, Logistics and Operations who will be responsible for new program development using in country service providers. Working with the Director, the Associate Director will develop a strategic plan for the GEO insuring that new programming fulfills learning objectives. The Associate Director will manage the marketing function for all GEO programs using creative media to promote offerings to Northeastern students and to students from other colleges and universities. The Associate Director will be conversant with and interpret transnational regulations, especially student visa regulations. The Associate Director will also oversee management of partner contracts and agreements and will assist the Director with writing grant proposals. In the Director’s absence, the Associate Director will represent the GEO at university-wide meetings, on and off campus, as necessary. International and domestic travel will be required to attend conferences and site visits.

Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a relevant field is required. JD or paralegal work preferred. Demonstrated experience managing in-country logistics of international programs. 10 years experience working in fast-paced, results-driven, university environment.
Experience with transnational regulations, especially student visa regulations and foreign institution contract or MOUs. Experience managing the development of creative media for program marketing purposes. Strong public speaking and communication skills, experience with website management and computer skills. Previous supervisory experience is required. Excellent management and interpersonal skills are critical. Experience working successfully with domestic and international students, as well as faculty and staff is required. The ability to relate and be sensitive to diverse cultural backgrounds is imperative. This individual should be able to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
