Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (tenure track)

The Department of International Studies at CIDE (Center for Research and Teaching in Economics / Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas), in Mexico City, seeks to fill two positions in International Relations. Both of the positions are open in rank and subfield, although special consideration will be given to applicants working on and/or interested in international organizations, U.S. political development and foreign policy, public opinion and foreign policy, and North American relations (Mexico, Canada, and the United States).

Candidates should have obtained a doctoral degree by the dates of appointment (January and August of 2010, respectively). Proficiency in Spanish is not required at the time of hire; yet candidates are expected to become fluent within a reasonable period of time.

CIDE is a public Social Science research institute with small, elite teaching programs. Salaries are internationally competitive. The normal teaching load is one course per semester. Faculty members are expected to contribute to project initiatives within the Department in areas related to International Relations.
