Parowan High School encourages 100% parent and student attendance at fall and spring SEOP conferences.
Fall Conferences: October 1-5, 2012
The Student Education Occupation Plan (SEOP) is a primary strategy for recognizing student accomplishments and strengths for planning , monitoring, and managing education and career development in grades 7-12.This is achieved through an on-going partnership involving students, parents, teachers, and school counselors.
Students will meet with their advisors in monthly SEOP Advisory Group meetings. Progress will be checked and service hours will be logged at each of those meetings. Other activities will also be implemented as needed.
The SEOP incorporates student information and competencies in the areas of Self-knowledge, Education and Occupation Exploration, and Education, Career and Life Planning to assist students in establishing education and personal/life goals and to connect students to activities that will help them achieve their goals.
www.utahfutures.org will also be utilized more and more as we move forward into digital student portfolios and SEOPs.
