Check Out What's Happening at NPL!

Teen programs are for 6th-12th grade, Tween programs are for 4th-8th! If you have questions about any of them, I'd be happy to share more details as needed.

Frightful Nights Teen Writing Contest: Online October 1-25

• Teens in Grades 6-12 are invited to share their creepiest short stories, spooky poems, or darkest tales (just keep it under 100 words!). A flyer for this contest is attached if you would like to promote the program to your students. We got over 50 submissions last year, and the contest is judged by our Teen Advisory Group (last year's winner was actually a comic, super cool!).

Teen Paint & Snack: Nichols Library Thursday Oct 1st 4-5:30pm

• We do this every month on the 1st Thursday of the month! Teens have snacks and paint a canvas inspired by a specific artist every month.

Teen DIY: Beaded Spiders: Nichols Library Tuesday Oct 6th 4-5pm; 95th Street Library Thursday Oct 22nd 4-5pm; Naper Blvd. Library Wednesday Oct 28th 4-5pm

• These spiders are wicked cool, and we couldn't be more stoked to make them together, a perfect spooky season craft!

Tween Cupcakes and Crafts Club: Nichols Library Wednesday October 14th 7-8pm

• Tasty treats and a cute craft!

Teen Manga Club: Naper Blvd. Library Thursday October 22nd 6-7pm

• On the 4th Thursday of every month, teens meet to discuss their favorite manga and learn about more manga to obsess over.

Teen Spooky Snacks: 95th Street Library Tuesday Oct 27th 4-5pm

• Teens will make ghosts, bats, and more out of Halloween candy!
