The Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies (CIDS) has initiated a Cinema and Society Program, as a part of which there will be movie screening on 23 January 2018 at 12.30 pm in the Seminar Room and on 24 January 2018 at 1.30 pm in the Conference Room.
On 9 February 2018, the English Literary Society will present "Delhi Poets: In Conversation" at 1.30 pm in the Conference Hall.
On 14th March 2018 the students' presentation will take place from 9:30 am onward in the Conference room. The topic for the same is 'Eating Bodies, Telling Tales'.
On 29th August 2018, the English Literary Society in collaboration with the Centre for Earth Studies will host a lecture by Ravi Agarwal, titled 'Nature Inhabitations' at 1.30 pm in the AV Lecture Theatre.
On 11 September 2018, the English Literary Society will host a talk by Paromita Vohra on the topic 'The Radical Possibilities of Love: Sex, Art, Feminism & Being an Agent of Ishq' in the Conference hall at 10.30 am.
On 25 September 2018, at 2.30 P.M. in the Conference Room, the English Literary Society will host a poetry reading and discussion by Michael Creighton who is an environmentalist, library movement activist and poet.
On 8 october 2018 the students' presentation will take place from 10:30 am onwards in the Seminar room. The topic for the same is 'The Nose: Bridge, Body Memory'.
The Kamath Literary Essay Competition will be held on 30 October 2018 at 10.30 AM in the Seminar Room. The students across the Departments of the college are urged to participate.
2017-18
On 25 August 2017, the English Literary Society will host a lecture by Dr Hephzibah Israel, titled 'The Many Purposes of Translation in India: Re-reading National Histories' at 1.30 pm in the Conference Hall.
On 30th August 2017, the English Literary Society will hold a quiz on the topic 'Indian Nationalism and Partition from 1942-1947' at 2:30 pm in the Auditorium.
On 20th September 2017, the English Literary Society will screen The Other Song, a film by Saba Dewan which will be followed by a talk on Music and Censorship by Shikha Jhingan. The event will be chaired by Dr. Babli Moitra Saraf. It will take place at 12 pm in the Conference Hall .
On 14th october 2017 the students' presentation will take place from 9:30 am onwards in the Conference room. The topic for the same is 'Eating Bodies, Telling Tales'.
The Kamath Literary Essay Competition will be held on 8 November 2017. The competition is open to all students of the college.

2016-17
The English Literary Society will host a lecture by Prof. Shirshendu Chakrabarti on 8 Sept 2016, titled 'The Eighteenth Century City: The Insanitary and the Insane'.
On 5 October it will hold a panel discussion on Graphic Narratives by Vidyun Sabhaney and Vishwajyoti Ghosh at noon.
On 21 October, Vikramaditya Sahai will speak on Queer Lives and read his poetry at 1.30 pm.
On 22 October 2016 the Students' Presentation will take place from 9.30 am onwards.
The Kamath Literary Essay Competition will be held on 4 November at 1.30 pm in the library. The competition is open to all students of the college.
On 4 November 2016, the Society will host a conversation with graphic novelist Amruta Patil, at 2.30 pm in the Conference Hall.
A workshop on Hindustani classical music will be held on 27 January 2017 at 1.30 pm in the new seminar hall, with Kanav Gupta and Shiladitya Bannerjee as resource persons.
The Society will host a workshop titled 'Aesthetics in Western Classical Music' with Nikhil David on Monday 30 January at 1.30 pm in the conference room.
A talk titled 'All is not lost...: Future Foods from the Past' by Anumitra Ghosh Dastidar is scheduled for 28 February at 1.30 pm in the conference hall.
Signs, the annual literary festival, will be held on 21-22 March 2017 in the Conference Hall. The events for 21 March will begin at 9.30 am, and those scheduled for 22 March at 10 am.
