Benjamin Petitte is the physical education assistant but the kids call him Coach Petitte or Coach Ben. He grew up in San Diego. He has two wonderful daughters Nova and Avery. He has been actively involved in sports since about age six. He played Varsity Baseball and Football at Point Loma Highschool. He has coached his oldest daughter Nova’s softball teams for the last 5 years. He is currently assistant coach of her 12U rec and Select teams in Scripps Ranch.
In his free time he has been running, training and racing ultramarathons since about 2015 with the San Diego 100 mile being his longest completed race to date. He is an active member of the San Diego Trail running community. He believes in living an active and healthy lifestyle. He takes his health very seriously and follows a plant based lifestyle to stay in the best shape possible.
He is currently working on becoming a teacher with the goal of being a P.E. teacher and athletics coach. He believes in supporting his teams and students throughout the learning process. He strives to ensure his teams and students understand that they control two things in athletics and life. These two things are your attitude you choose and your effort level you decide to put in.
