Typio Form Recovery is a Chrome Extension that can be used to recovery form entries that have been lost due to an issue with the website you're entering data on, or an interrupted connection.
It's on by default and installed on Chrome [only Chrome] for everyone at Insigniam and keeps form data [NOT including passwords] you've entered for 7 days.
Typio Form Recovery is easy to use but should not be relied on as a fail safe guarantee everything you type into a form will be recoverable.
How to Recover Data Entry
In the picture below we have an example of a form. It's a contact record at Netsuite, but it could be a Google Form, or Survey Monkey, or almost any website with a form.
In this form, there's a field that I previously typed some text into, but I forgot to save it, and closed the window.
I've navigated back to this form and right clicked [or control + click] the field, and you can see I have an option for Typio Form Recovery and two options under that. Recover this field and Open form recovery.
Selecting Recovery this field will show you what you last typed into that field and allow you to restore it. See the below image for an example.
Selecting Open form recovery will bring up a the window below, that will allow you to browse past form entries. Select a field on the left for options.
Use the buttons at the top of this window to either recover an entire session, which is most common and going to recover everything you typed into all fields for that page, "Recover only this" which will only recover only the field you have selected in the left column.
That's all there is to it, continue filling out your form!
