You can duplicate an offer to save yourself the time of recreating the entire offer when you only need to make a few changes.
A few notes on duplicating offers:
You need to be viewing, not editing the offer to be able to duplicate it. If you don't see the DUPLICATE button, save the record first.
You can put the duplicated offer into a different opportunity, or even a different company. However, you will not be able to change the subsidiary. e.g. you can't take an offer for a European client and duplicate it for an American client.
You need to enter a new start and end date for the duplicated offer. When you do this, the Lead Account Management time will be recalculated. After you change the dates, make sure you go to the activities and adjust the Lead Account Management time to what you want it to be.
After duplicating an offer, you can change the offer currency - but only at the beginning before you save the new offer. You will not be able to change the currency after you save.
You can group offer activities into workstreams to better organize your offer. This is particularly useful if, in your proposal, you want to quote prices for individual workstreams as well as the entire offer.
At the top of the workstream, insert the *WORKSTREAM item.
At the bottom of the workstream, insert the *WORKSTREAM SUBTOTAL item.
To the right of the *WORKSTREAM SUBTOTAL line, you'll see a Total and a Subtotal.
The Subtotal is the sum of all the billable consulting (days * daily rate) in the workstream, with no Value Add or fees added.
The Total is the Subtotal plus 15% Standard Value Add plus 15% for Admin and Expenses (if inclusive) or 6.3% for Admin (if billable).
What the workstream total does not include:
Lumina or Insigniam Edge
Outside resources
Additional value add/discount apart from the standard 15%
Additional expenses
If you are looking at your workstream totals and wondering why they don't add up to the overall total, it's because of these additional items that aren't included in a workstream. This means that if you want to quote prices for individual workstreams on a proposal and you have any of these items, you need to add them in yourself after getting the numbers from NetSuite.
This is a new feature we've added to help you organize opportunities with many offers.
If an offer is outdated, click the Inactive Offer button to mark it as replaced.
On the list of offers on the opportunity record, the offer status will be listed as "REPLACED".
