About the Trainers

Keith A. Edwards has more than 20 years experience in compliance, grants, contracts, procurement and inventory management, and administration in the non-profit field. He worked 15 years at EngenderHealth, most recently as their Director of Compliance. His extensive short term country visits and long term assignments throughout Africa and Asia have provided him with broad experience in field operations, writing SOPs, developing training curricula and knowledge and interpretation of donor and USAID rules and regulations. Keith served 4 years on the InsideNGO Board of Directors and currently resides in South Africa. Keith is an experienced and regular trainer for InsideNGO.


Soud Habbas is a J.D. with extensive experience in the management of Contracts and Grants.   He currently serves as the ACDI/VOCA Field Contracts and Grants Director/Internal Investigator and is based in Amman.  Mr. Habbas has previously served as a Deputy Chief of Party in the West Bank, a Grants and Contracts Manager in Rwanda and a Grants and Procurements Supervisor for an emergency grants program in Egypt.  Mr. Habbas has been involved in the facilitation, negotiation, and management of Prime/funding awards and the subsequent sub-awards (grants, contracts, and consulting agreement), and also works closely with field staff in various country offices through direct communication and oversight visits in order to assure compliance with the company's policies and Funding Agency requirements, create field office procurement and granting policies and procedures, coordinate and communicate with local legal counsel, oversee major procurements, maintain positive relationships with funding agencies/organizations and provide trainings to local staff on issues relating to the implementation of USG funded activities. He has also been involved in the development of company wide Grants and Contracts Management Systems.  In his role as Internal Investigator Mr. Habbas is responsible for conducting investigations regarding allegations of wrongdoing by staff, contractors and grantees on behalf of the company’s Ethics Committee.
 

Libby Spader, Training Events Director. Libby has been with InsideNGO since 2000 as a trainer, facilitator, and event logistics coordinator. At USAID Rules & Regulations workshops, Libby works with trainers to refine material to the target audience and also to present the subject in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual environment. Previously, she worked as a medical education event facilitator for pharmaceutical firms and for many years as a teacher, specializing in the training of trainers and discovery/participatory learning techniques. Libby is the lead trainer for InsideNGO’s Training of Trainers course which specializes in participatory delivery of technical information. She also works with InsideNGO trainers to create custom training materials, manage learning objectives, measure impact, and deliver compliance curriculum using adult learning techniques.
