Version Upgrade Information, 20/3/2014

infoScoop for Google Apps has been upgraded on 20/3/2014.

The new features of this upgrade is as the followings:
  • RSS Reader Gadget
    • With setting deprecated URL, display alert message.
  • Database maintenance
  • Fixed some other bugs


If your RSS Reader Gagdet displays alert message, it is necessary to update the gadget setting by April 20, 2015.
Subject gadgets are as follows:

  • Inforamation
  • Recent Document
  • Gadgets that were placed in the Docs launcher
  • Mail
  • Gadgets that were placed in the Mail launcher


When API stops, you will no longer be able to use a subject gadgets with deprecated URL.

infoScoop for Google Apps has been upgraded on 12/11/2014.

The new features of this upgrade is as the followings:
  • Change of authorization method for data access
  • Group Calendar
    • Change the display order of calendars
    • Fixed the bug
  • Fixed some other bugs
Note:

*Important:
 With this maintenance, the authorization method has been changed.
 Unless executing following process, you are not able to use our application.
  1. API access
    Access to your domain setting page from the link of "Manage this domain" on the header of Gmail.
    And enable API access from the following link. 
    [Security] > [API reference] > [API access]

  2. Re-installation of our application
    As the authentication method for our application is changed this time, you need to re-install infoScoop for Google Apps.
    Re-install the app according to 1-4 of the following procedure.

    If you already installed, go to step 3.


  3. Data access from our application
    With this update, you need to grant data access from our application.
    Access to your domain setting page from the link of "Manage this domain" on the header of Gmail.
    And click "Grant data access" from the following link. 
    [Marketplace apps] > [infoScoop for Google Apps] > [Data access]

Changing the display order of calendars:
The displays order of calendars for "Favorite"(exclude "My Calendar")  or "Group Layer" will be changed.

The order in current version:
  1. The calendar of the login user
  2. The calendar of other user in ascending order of Email address
  3. The calendar of calendar resources in ascending order of name
The order in future  version:
  1. The calendar of the login user
  2. The calendar of other user in ascending order of name
  3. The calendar of calendar resources in ascending order of name

infoScoop for Google Apps has been upgraded on 17/10/2014.

The new features of this upgrade is as the followings:
  • Publish infoScoop for Google Apps on Chrome Web Store
  • Stop supporting multi domain feature
  • Hide buttons to add the deprecated gadget below:
    • Google RSS Reader
    • ToDo List
  • Improve search condition on Docs launcher gadget
  • Fixed some other bugs

For administorator,
  1. Re-installation of the application
    As our application is published on Chrome Web Store, you need to re-install infoScoop for Google Apps.
    Please re-install the app according to 1-4 of the following procedure.

    Though you can use our application without the re-installation for a while, some of the features might stop working by a upcoming version upgrade.
    Please complete re-installation as soon as possible.

  2. The authentication and authorization method
    The authentication and authorization method has been changed also by the publishing on Chrome Web Store.
    This makes users to accept data accesses from our App. When a user logins to our application, Google requests the user to authorize data accesses from our application to Google Apps with a dialog. Users need to click the button to accept.
    So, please announce this to users.

  3. Expiration date of gadgets using old authorization method
    After April 21 2015, the following gadgets will not be available.
    ・Information
    ・Mail
    ・Recent Documents
    ・Gadgets dropped from Gmail launcher gadget
    Gadgets dropped from Docs launcher gadget
    RSS Reader for Google Apps

  4. Multi domain feature
    Having worked on supporting Chrome Web Store, we found some trouble related to multidomain feature.
    So we stopped supporting it. Once we finish to fix the bug, we will release again.

    • Sort Calendar Resources by resource name.
  • Menu tab of management console
    • Fixed bug that the menu tree can not be displayed properly.
