Meet Mrs. Kimball

I'm glad you stopped by!

This is my 15th year here in the Independence Community School District.  I love it!  I taught Junior Kindergarten/Early Childhood Special Education for 5 years, then just ECSE for 1 year before transferring to 3rd grade.  I taught 3rd grade for 7 years, K-2 Special Education for one year and now I'm a first grade teacher at East Elementary!

I have my Masters Degree in Quality Schools, which I received from Graceland University in 2008.  I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2001 with a BA Degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education, with a Special Education minor in PK-3rd grade.  I also have my Reading Endorsement.

I currently live in Waterloo and have lived in the Cedar Falls/Waterloo area for about 19 years!  I did live in Independence for about 2 years before meeting my husband, Chris.  We were married in 2008 and we have two children.  Ava is 7 years old and Jake is 4!

I love spending time with my family and friends.  We enjoy watching movies, going for bike rides and walks, and playing games together!  In my spare time (which isn't much!) I enjoy reading and exercising!
