ASSIGNMENTS: Will include page numbers and specific problems students are to complete or worksheet section and title. Students must show their work to get credit. Answers without work earn a 0 since they have shown me no evidence of learning. It is to their advantage to show their process so I can award partial credit if possible. Students may not use calculators unless specifically told to do so. Sometimes the assignment is to watch a video and take notes on it, or to redo the problems from an assessment that were incorrect. While not every assignment will receive a grade, all assignments are a way of providing immediate feedback to the students, parents, and teachers of progress being made.
Quizzes are directly related to the content used in class and the practice used in and out of class. Poor performance on assessments can usually be traced back to poor focus and engagement in class and lack of effort/completion of practice.
CLASS PERIOD: Some classes will have differing assignments...make sure you check your class.
COMMENTS: Students are expected to use CANVAS and POWERSCHOOL to stay current on their grade, assignments, missing work, etc.
