About Me:

The 2025-2026 school year marks my 29th year in education, all of which have been spent in Independence.  I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1997 with BA degrees in History and Economics.  It has been a great pleasure to interact with students and watch as they moved on to college, careers, and starting their own families.  My wife works as a software engineer at Rockwell Collins and we have a daughter who is a  college senior.  Independence is a great place to raise kids and I am proud to be a part of the Independence school system.
