We like to invite you to the 9th edition of the symposium on the conservation of saproxylic beetles which will be organized in Genk, Belgium on the 22 to 24 April 2016. The meeting will be held in the Provincial Centre for Nature Conservation, located at the margin of this small city within a cosy forested environment. Sessions will be held on Friday, 22 April and Saturday, 23 April followed by an excursion on Sunday, 24 April.

The goal of this symposium is to present the state of the art on research concerning the ecology, conservation and management of saproxylic organisms (primarily saproxylic beetles), alongside with research dealing with transversal approaches related to their biodiversity, distribution, taxonomy, phylogeography, environmental issues and to develop a stronger cooperation and promote a saproxylic organism research network between the different researchers in Europe and around the world.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Genk
