 Summer Skills Camp!
Mrs. Hegman will be offering a summer skills reading camp for students  in preschool - 5th grade during the month of July. This is a great way to  bridge the summer break  and help review reading skills for the upcoming school year. Additional information and registrations are available now through May 31 in the school office.

Have a Blessed Summer Vacation!

Here's a few School Year notes and reminders....

  * Reminder! The front door automatically unlocks at 8:00 am for students. If you have to drop your child off before 8:00 am be aware that they will have to wait outside until the door unlocks. Do not push the buzzer! The staff is attending our morning staff meeting and there is no one to admit or supervise children until 8:00 am. Thank You for your cooperation!

  * Class starts at 8:15 am.  If you drop off after 8:25 am your child will be marked tardy.Gentle reminder, 3 tardies will equal 1 absence.

   * Our class is dismissed between 3:25-3:30 pm. Please pick-up your child by   3:40 pm.  If you need to pick up early at any time, please let Miss Schmidt know.

   * Teachers are not allowed to give any medications (prescription, OTC - which includes cough drops) to the students. All medications must be checked in at the office with proper authorization by parent or guardian. Please help us provide a safe environment  for all children here at ILS.

Reminder

As our school year is winding down, help us all to finish strong by trying to be at school by 8:15 am. This helps us get our homework turned in, drop-off work completed and lunch count taken so that we can begin our morning lessons by 8:25 am (when the tardy bell rings). Thank You! (refer to pages 20-21 of Parent Student Handbook)

If you drop off after 8:25 am your child will be marked tardy.
Gentle reminder, 3 tardies will equal 1 absence.

Each week the Memory Verse will be introduced Monday morning as part of our drop-off activity. We will practice it Tuesday and Wednesday mornings as part of our devotion time. Students will have the opportunity to recite their memory verse on Thursday or Friday morning during the "drop-off time" (8:10 - 8:25 am). Memory work is part of the ILS religion curriculum and students will be graded for participation.
