About the Teacher

My name is Denise Rottmann. I received my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education in 2004 from Rockford College. I began my teaching career in the public schools working with autistic and bilingual students. In the fall of 2007, I was blessed to become a part of the staff at Immanuel Lutheran School, which is committed to sharing God’s love and to helping students grow in their faith while providing an excellent education.

My husband and I have three wonderful boys; Jeffery, Justin and Jeremy, all of whom have attended Immanuel Lutheran School from pre-school through eighth grade. Outside of teaching, I love spending time with my family, reading, working in the prairie and gardening.

I believe that children are a special gift from God. I encourage my students to always do their best with the talents and abilities God has given them. My goal is to instill a love for learning, but also a love for Jesus.
