Awakening the Soul's Wisdom

Free Talk on
Monday April 18th
(While we call it the Wise Women Salon, you gentlemen are welcome to come and work on your inner Divine Feminine!)
I know you’ve all been feeling it. Some of you have even been dreaming about it. You know it deep down in your bones. Something is changing in the world. And you want to be part of it.
Lama said, “Western Women will change the world.” It is our great task this lifetime. Women and men know at a deep intuitive level
that we’re living in a remarkable time, a transformative time for ourselves and
our planet. As we look around, we can
see we are at a crossroads in our cultural story. We are being called to participate in these
To meet the challenges that face us, women especially need to be sure of who we are and where we stand. Women need to know that we have the power and the clarity to change things. For this we need a great shining hope which gives us the enthusiasm to roll up our sleeves and get to work. We need a new story!
To discover our purpose, we have to access our archetypal, soul instructions. We need to access that spiritual blueprint by looking through the mirror of a ‘Great Story’, an archetypal story that lets us see our lives in a mythic way.
As my teacher Jean Houston says, “Stories are the currency of human growth. As they are told and retold, heard and reheard, they reveal their deeper meanings. Moreover, how we view our life as a story often determines how life will treat us. So, if we see our life as a trivial story, we fall easily into inertia and defeat. Seeing our life as a larger story puts us back on our feet, helps us get on with living. And seeing our life as a great story can fill us with a passion for the possible, give us access codes to new ranges of possibilities, grant us a mythic life and a higher destiny.”
That higher destiny is calling to us. In expanding our personal story into the mythic story of our times, we will find that women's greatest gift to the world is our innate Wisdom. But we have to learn how to access it, because all of us have lived in a patriarchal mindset for so long that women have forgotten the great gifts of our own feminine spiritual essence. And because women have forgotten this gift, men have lost it too.
I have been
working in our Wise Women Salons with an archetypal figure that embodies the
ancient wisdom tradition of the Divine Feminine. This archetypal image contains our
instructions for accessing our personal connection to Wisdom. Known to us through such archetypal figures
as Mary Magdalene, Sophia, Mother Mary, Kuan Yin and White Buffalo Woman, Lady
Wisdom symbolizes the New Feminine Spirit that is trying to incarnate in us at
this crossroads in our human destiny, so that we can bring a new vision and a
new way of acting into our lives.
The image of
Lady Wisdom we will work with is: A Woman clothed with the Sun, standing on
the Moon, crowned with Stars, who is giving birth to the Savior.
had so many requests to do the Wise Women Salon for people outside of Las
Vegas, starting Monday, May 3rd, the Wise Women Salon will go online
as a 4 week tele-course. To introduce
you to the topic and what we’ll be doing in those four weeks, please join me
for this free talk, where we’ll discuss how to work with this image of the New
Feminine Spirit that wants to incarnate in us.
During this evening Salon, you will discover the three things we women have to do to begin the journey toward our destiny as Wisdom keepers and Wise Women.
1. 1. We have to leave behind the
patriarchal view of who we are. We have to leave the 'Father's House'.
2. 2. We have to get back into our instinctual and emotional bodies.
3. 3. We have to discover our new identity through working with this Great Story.
Now that the Great Awakener, the planet Uranus, has moved into the zodiacal sign of Aries, we are called to awaken to our new, mythic identity. And with Neptune, the planet of spirituality, vision and artistry, in his own home sign of Pisces, we will have an easier time accessing those power images that will help us break the chains of the old patriarchal/matriarchal dichotomy that lives within us. If we can transform ourselves and release the radioactivity within our own souls, we can transform the radioactivity of our world. As Above, so Below. As Within, so Without.
If you’re interested in committing to a transformational destiny, please join me for a free Wise Women Salon on Monday evening, April 18th at 8:00pm Eastern, 7:00pm Central and 5pm Pacific time.
We will meet at The
The talk with be live and you can listen to the class on the Internet and call in with questions for me at (909) 265-9117. The class will be archived within 48 hours of the show, so if you can’t make it on Monday the 18th, be sure to come back and listen when you can.
Please pass this invitation along to anyone you know who is interested in discovering how to access the Wisdom we need as we face our Future.

Wise Woman Salon:
The Archetype Empowering Your Life’s Purpose.
“All the true things must change and only that which changes remains true.” Carl G. Jung
First Session: Saturday, February 5, 2011
1pm to 4pm
Cathy Pagano’s house
Each of us has a unique talent and skill, one that not only feels like a blessing to us, but can also be a blessing for the whole community. In these evolutionary times, we are being called to open to the archetypal energies that shape us, the essential archetype that informs our life’s purpose.
This call is echoed in the heavens, because the Cosmic Story is about to add a few new chapters to the story of our times. Uranus, the planet of awakening, is moving out of the sign of Pisces where it’s been for the past 7 years, and going into Aries on March 11th. After awakening new archetypes and opening us to a deeper spirituality in Pisces, this revolutionary energy is going into the sign that initiates new beginnings, has us seeking new identities, and is concerned with facing life with courage and a sense of adventure.
So we are going to explore Archetypes this season in the Wise Women Salons. Archetypes of the Feminine and the Masculine, archetypes that give birth to creativity, ideas, community and manifestation. See below what Carl Jung has to say about Archetypes.
The first Wise Women Salon will meet on Saturday February 5, in the season of Imbolc, or Candlemas. This is the time when we begin to envision what the New Year has in store for us. The feast of St. Brighid or Brigit, the patroness of smiths and poets, this is the time to look for our new story.
This first session, we will:
1. Talk about the story of our times to understand the divine purpose of Feminine Spirit and the role of women in times of transformation.
2. Talk about how the human psyche works, based on Jungian psychology, reviewing ideas like the Shadow, the Anima/Animus and the Self.
3. Talk about archetypes, what they are and how they affect us.
4. We’ll close with an Imbolc ritual and meditation/journey to the Mother’s Cauldron to catch a glimpse of what gift is calling our name.
On March 11, Uranus goes into Aries. The next day on March 12th, the Wise Women Salon will meet to work with archetypes and then journey to the collective unconscious to make deeper contact with the specific archetypal energy calling to us.
Between February 5th and March 12th, those of you who are interested in meeting again to practice using your psychic gifts as well as practice understanding symbolic language can let me know. We’ll collectively set up a time that fits all of us.
Tentative dates for the last few classes of the season are:
Saturday, April 9th
Saturday, May 14th
Saturday, June 4th or 11th
While you do not have to commit to all 5 of the sessions, they will build on each other and so I hope you want to commit to the process.
We are also going to hold all different kinds of workshops during these months as well, including a once-a-month meeting to work with the book, Women Who Run with the Wolves. You’ll hear more about it from me, Jen, Dot or on facebook. These are classes you can pick and choose from according to your interest and availability.
Quotes from C. G. Jung, Man and His Symbols
“Archetypes are like riverbeds which dry up when the water deserts them, but which it can find again at any time. An archetype is like an old watercourse along which the water of life has flowed for centuries, digging a deep channel for itself. The longer it has flowed in this channel the more likely it is that sooner or later the water will return to its old bed.
Our personal psychology is just a thin skin, a ripple on the ocean of collective psychology. The powerful factor, the factor which changes our whole life, which changes the surface of our known world, which makes history, is collective psychology, and collective psychology moves according to laws entirely different from those of our consciousness. The archetypes are the great decisive forces, they bring about the real events, and not our personal reasoning and practical intellect. The archetypal images decide the fate of man.
They (the archetypes) may be compared to the invisible presence of the crystal lattice in a saturated solution. As a priori conditioning factors they represent a special, psychological instance of the biological “pattern of behavior,” which gives all living organisms their specific qualities.
I can only gaze with wonder and awe at the depths and heights of our psychic nature. Its non-spatial universe conceals an untold abundance of images which have accumulated over millions of years of living development and become fixed in the organism. My consciousness is like an eye that penetrates to the most distant spaces, yet it is the psychic non-ego that fills them with non-spatial images. And those images are not pale shadows, but tremendously powerful psychic factors. The most we may be able to do is misunderstand them, but we can never rob them of their power by denying them. Beside this picture I would like to place the spectacle of the starry heavens at night, for the only equivalent of the universe within is the universe without; and just as I reach this world through the medium of the body, so I reach that world though the medium of the psyche.
The organism confronts light with a new structure, the eye, and the psyche confronts the natural process with a symbolic image, which apprehends it in the same way as the eye catches the light. And just as the eye bears witness to the peculiar and spontaneous creative activity matter, the primordial image expresses the intrinsic and unconditioned creative power of the psyche. The primordial image is thus a condensation of the living process.
It is a great mistake in practice to treat an archetype as if it were a mere name, word or concept. It is far more than that: it is a piece of life, an image connected with the living individual by the bridge of emotion.
The so-called “forces of the unconscious” are not intellectual concepts that can be arbitrarily manipulated, but dangerous antagonists which can, among other things, work frightful devastation in the economy of the personality. They are everything one could wish for or fear in a psychic “Thou.” The layman naturally thinks he is the victim of some obscure organic disease; but the theologian, who suspects it is the devil’s work, is appreciably nearer to the psychological truth.
All the true things must change and only that which changes remains true.”
Schedule for July 7 to July 12, 2010
Learning the Language of the Soul:
to help you find the wisdom & the meaning of your life.
It is so much easier to navigate through life if we understand how to read our unique road map. Unfortunately, no one told us that reading it takes knowledge of another language. (That's the real SECRET) You can't read it with our generic cultural mindset.
On the Road of Life, doesn't it make sense to stop, and ask for a map and for directions if you don't know where you're headed? Or if you thought you knew where you were headed and now find that you're lost? Or just to hone a language you already work with?
Don't be someone who refuses to stop
& get directions!
As you seek a deeper, more responsible life-style, you need to understand the language of meaning, so you can make wise, conscious choices that enhance your life. The language of meaning is the language of the Soul. It is the language of Wisdom.
Don't forget that a truly abundant life stems from a wisely-lived life.
Wisdom speaks to us in the language of images, metaphors, poetry and feelings. It comes to us through the images of the Collective Unconscious, the archetypal basis of how we humans work. (Imagine an instruction manual.)
It is the language of myth that Joseph Campbell and Carl Jung explored and taught. It is the language of Dreams, which we all share in. It is the language of spirit, since our religions are built around symbols, especially symbolic stories, as well as prophetic dreams & religious visions. It is the language of the right side of the brain, which deals with synthesis and integration. It is our native language, the one all humans share – the language of images.
It is the way soul and our deeper, feeling life speak to our conscious ego. To be a whole person, we have to learn how the soul communicates with our conscious mind, and then we have to have a dialog with it so we find the best answers to our life's questions. If we can't understand this language, we can't access the information that the soul's wisdom provides to guide our lives. This is a problem that our Western mind needs to solve if we want to live as mature, conscientious and conscious human beings.
These classes will be held in Las Vegas as well as broadcast on the Internet, so you can sign up for the class even if you don't live in the Las Vegas are.
Learn the Archetypal Language of the Soul's Journey through Life.
The Path of Human Consciousness.
Understanding the zodiac through the cultural mythic, archetypal energies they embody. Understanding the planets as personal and transpersonal energies humans embody.
The Tarot & the Hero's Journey: Mapping the Soul's Progress.
Working with the 22 Major Arcana of the Tarot to understand the Hero's Journey as the search for consciousness, wholeness and life purpose.
Dreams and Our Unique Soul Journey.
It is through our dreams that our soul communicates the meaning of our daily experiences. With meaning comes understanding, better life choices and ultimately wisdom. When we undergo our own Hero(ine)'s journey, we accomplish our soul's purpose in life. And that's where we meet Joy in Life.
Myths, Dreams & Fairy Tales: Understanding the Stories that Shape Us.
For writers, artists, cultural creatives and anyone who wants to understand The Big Story – how stories affect us. We'll look at some archetypal stories that still shape our belief systems, and at the emerging archetypal stories that are re-shaping our worldview.
The Re-Birth of the Divine Feminine:
How the archetypal new feminine energy is awakening in modern women.
As women flex the muscles of their newfound freedom (it has only been a little over 100 years & we're still not completely there), they have to integrate both their masculine ego, drive & will with their feminine feeling, empathy & intuition. The result is a conscious human being who is willing be her own white knight & stand for what she believes in; a woman who knows her own sexual energy and isn't ashamed of it; a woman who understands the wisdom in the natural rhymthms of life; a human being who understands the spiritual & imaginative aspects of life which make life purposeful, joyous and deeply loving.
The class schedule will be out soon.

Midlife Renewal: The Midlife Journey Home
Saturday, January 26, 2008
10am to 4pm
“Many people are running as fast as they can around the outside of the black hole at the center of their being.” Marion Woodman, Jungian Analyst.
What is this hole within us that has a core of emptiness, loneliness and isolation? Why do we most often discover it at midlife?
Midlife is the time when we finally look at our lives and say ‘Enough!’ It is the time when we start looking at what’s missing from our lives.
When we do, we realize that we have buried an important part of ourselves in that hole. What we don’t know is that hole can become a source of wholeness for us.
15 million women, ages 37-60, are in the midst of ‘a midlife crisis’, going through major life transitions – illness, depression, dissatisfaction with work, empty nests, divorce, lack of meaning in their lives. They have come to a fork in their life’s road. Consciously faced, the midlife crisis can be a renewal. Instead of a midlife meltdown, it is meant to be the path to Individuation.
Cathy will discuss the astrological indicators of midlife, and through storytelling, dreams, movement and visualizations, take you on a journey to your center to find the soul you left behind as a child. Working with alchemical transformation visualizations, we will work with the imagination to transform this lost image of yourself and integrate it back into consciousness, so you can begin to feel whole again.
A Midlife astrological chart reading is recommended first to enhance your work during the class.
