Galaxy Abstract

Abstract

Galaxy (http://galaxyproject.org/) is an open, web-based platform for data integration and analysis.  Galaxy Is developed for the life sciences but the platform is domain agnostic and is now used in fields as diverse as climate change, cosmology, image processing, natural language processing, and social science. This session will introduce participants to the Galaxy platform and then walk through an example genomic analysis. Once the analysis is complete we will create a reusable and sharable workflow from it.  The session will emphasize Galaxy's workflow capabilities but also touch on other features and the Galaxy ecosystem as well.
