Call for Host Sites

Blue Waters is pleased to announce a two-day workshop on Workflows to be held August 9-10, 2016.  The two-day workshop will run from 11AM-5PM Eastern Time each day to facilitate participation across multiple time zones.

This hands-on workshop will inform researchers about six different workflow strategies to enhancing research productivity.  

This workshop will be delivered at up to 20 institutions using high definition video-conferencing.  We are accepting applications from institutions to host this event through June 30, 2016.  Information about the technology used for the video conferencing is provided at https://sites.google.com/a/illinois.edu/workflows-workshop/home/call-for-host-sites/a-v-technology-plan.

We will announce the list of accepted sites during the first week of July.  Please do not assume your site has been accepted until you are notified as such.

The workshop will have a hands-on component for each workflow,.

Satellite sites must be able to provide a facility capable of two-way video for the duration of the workshop.  There should also be a full time TA available to assist with local technical issues.  An AV system test will be scheduled sometime before each workshop. Address any questions regarding course content to Scott Lathrop (lathrop@illinois.edu
