Future Sea Fog Studies

The difficulty of studying sea fog in the field is due to a lack of preparation. Case studies are not sought after because of the short time period of sea fog events in particular locations. Many numerical simulations are being formulated to try and better understand the moisture transport from atmosphere-ocean interactions in the boundary layer, since field campaigns are not easy to pursue. Sea fog events will give scientists important data for future forecasting of dense sea fog events. If more case studies of sea fog events were attempted, there may be more data to better understand the moisture-temperature influences of all types of boundary layer phenomena in the atmosphere.
