I am Dr. Mohd Sohaib Raza, a researcher with a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering. Currently, I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, SRM University-AP, where I am part of a group developing an open-source solver for simulating complex fluid dynamics problems. My work involves designing and implementing numerical methods, managing complex scientific data, and working with parallel computing, including extensive experience with GPU programming and high-performance computing (HPC). I earned my Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar , where my thesis focused on the multiphysics modeling and validation of material removal in conventional and vibration-assisted micro-EDM. My doctoral research aimed to advance the micro-EDM process for hard-to-machine materials by using physics-based modeling, real-time monitoring, and hybridization with ultrasonic vibration to enhance machining precision, material removal rate, and overall process stability.
