Srirupa Chatterjee is Associate Professor of English and Gender Studies in the Department of Liberal Arts. Her research interests include contemporary and multiethnic American fiction, American women's writing, literary theory, and gender and body studies. She is particularly interested in body image studies and has been exploring it with the help of narratives from American and world literature, young adult fiction, cinema, television, and social media, among others. In her engagement with literary and cultural analyses, Chatterjee also focuses on diverse discourses which include gender-based violence, women's experiences of travel, body and disability, aging studies, and masculinity studies.
