Nicolette (Nicki) Smith has been the Teacher-Librarian at Riverbend Middle School Library since August 2009. Having taught ten years of Equine Management at Ellsworth College, having homeschooled her two sons for four years, and having substitute taught all ages makes her feel qualified to help students in both school settings.  Nicki has an eclectic educational background which is actually an asset as a Teacher Librarian.  She has an A.S. in Equine Management, a B.S. in Animal Science, a Postbaccalaureate in Science, and M.A. in Library Science through the University of Northern Iowa. When there is some spare time, Nicki enjoys spending time with her husband, Dave, and sons, Trevor and Caleb.  She feels blessed by getting to know the students in the Iowa Falls School District. Some of her favorite books are The Chronicles of NarniaThe Diary of Anne Frank, The Book Thief, and The Bible.
Nicki also enjoys teaching Technology and Reading at RMS.  Her sites for the classes are at:

Jodi Peterson is the Library Associate at Riverbend Middle School.
