Homeroom Announcements

March 13th - 17th

I hope this finds you enjoying the beautiful weather.  We have had some really great days learning about stops on the Oregon Trail.  Your children are becoming very proficient at journaling and had a lot of fun creating their journal entries yesterday.  This week we visited Shawnee Mission and Alcove Springs.  We also learned about Susan B. Anthony and the Women's' Suffrage Movement.  The end of the quarter is in two weeks.  Be checking Powerschool and in with your child's ELA and Math teachers if you have any questions now.  Please see the following important updates

PTO See's Candy Fundraiser (DUE March 20th):
See's Candy Fundraiser forms went home yesterday in your child's backpack.  There will be prizes for the top individual sellers.  Forms are due back by Monday, March 20th.

PTO Campbell's Soup Labels (DUE March 24th):
Friday, March 24th will be the absolute last day to turn in any Campbell's Soup Labels.  Please return any labels at your earliest convenience to your child's homeroom teacher.  All proceeds will go towards student playground or classroom supplies.  Thank you for your support!
Gala Auction Items Needed:
On April, 22nd Idaho Arts Charter School is excited to host our first annual Gala Fundraiser Auction at the Riverside Hotel in Boise!  Your child is already busy at work creating a class art project that will be auctioned off at the event.  We are currently collecting donation items to auction off and would love your help with it.  If you have any items that you think would be suitable for auctioning, please let your child's homeroom teacher know.  If you have a larger item that may need some more negotiating, contact Jackie Collins at jackie.collins@idahoartscharter.org.  Some possible ideas could include a weekend stay at a cabin, dinner at a restaurant, a massage, etc.  All proceeds from the auction will go back to the school.  Thank you in advance for your generosity.
