Meet Mrs. Pearcy

My name is Amanda Pearcy, and I will be your child’s homeroom teacher this year. This is my twelfth year teaching. I have taught 3rd grade for eight years, 4th grade for two years, and a 3rd/4th grade combination class at IACS for one year. I graduated from Boise State University. I earned a bachelor’s degree in general education as well as a master’s degree in teaching literacy.

I love teaching 3rd and 4th graders at Idaho Arts Charter School! I have always felt the arts are an important part of education. Art allows children to express their learning in a variety of ways as well as builds confidence in ones own ability to create something that others can enjoy. Teaching at IACS has been my dream job, and I am really enjoying this journey!

I was born in Texas but have spent most of my years growing up in Idaho. I
currently live in Boise with my husband and two children. My daughter is 3 1/2 years old, and my son is twenty months old. We are very busy with two little ones, but we love to adventure outside and travel to new places.

"Everybody is a genius.
But if you judge a fish by its
ability to climb a tree, it will
live its whole life believing
that it is stupid."
~Albert Einstein
