Getting  to know your Teacher
My name is Nicole Beckman. I grew up in Montana and attended Montana State University where I received my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I have been married for 26 years and have three children and a dog. My oldest is 21 and living in Boise, my daughter is 17 and attending college at Chadron State in Nebraska. My youngest child is 15 and will be attending Columbia High School as a sophomore. Our little Bella is 2 and such a sweet baby.
My first year I taught in Livingston Montana at St. Mary's Catholic School.  I taught PE 1-8, computers 1-8, 6th grade science and literature. I moved to Nampa the next year where I taught at Greenhurst for 12 years 2nd, 4th and 5th.  I earned Master's degree in 2007 in reading and math.  I taught 2 years at Snake River before my husband got a job opportunity which allowed us to move back to Montana. We moved to Miles City in 2012. I taught 5th grade at Lincoln Elementary for the last 4 years. I missed this area and because of the nature of my husband's job we can live anywhere, so my son and I moved back and I am excited to be teaching at Idaho Arts Charter.
I enjoy spending time with my family. My kids have taken most of my time so hobbies have gone by the wayside a little. I enjoy reading and hiking and I love to travel and learn about history.
