Hello from Ms. Butler's Room!
Hello Families!  Welcome to Ms. Butler's classroom.  I am in room 20 at the Primary Location.  I am excited for your child to be in this class.

The first bell rings at 8:50 am. Please be patient this first few weeks of school as we get the kinks worked out of pick-up and bussing.  Please know that busses will run late the first few days of school.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.  I love open communication.

Erin Butler

If you need a different kind of spelling practice, remember to head over to Spelling City 1 or Spelling City 2.

As a 1st and 2nd grade team, we will be talking to your child about healthy snack items that can be brought to school to eat during afternoon recess.  I HIGHLY encourage you to send a fruit, vegetable, protein, whole wheat or dairy snack with your child for afternoon snack.  NO chips and candy!

You may bring a water bottle to leave in the classroom.  It should ONLY have water in it and be labeled with the student's name.

Hello! My name is Erin Butler and I teach 1st and 2nd grade.  I have the 2nd graders for math and reading, while my teaching partner Mrs. Woehlke will be working with 1st graders.

I feel very blessed to be a part of the amazing staff here at Idaho Arts Charter. I have learned so much from my team the last few years about integrating the arts into my lessons and I’m so excited to continue to be creative and enhance my teaching.  I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from NNU in 2009.  I received my Master's in Early Childhood Education: Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University in 2015. Before coming to IACS in 2011, I spent 2 years teaching in 2nd grade, Title I reading intervention and Special Education. I know my experiences have given me insight to students and their variety of learning styles. I am ready to kick off this year and dive into some fun projects!

I was born in Boise and have lived in the area my whole life. I live in Nampa with my daughter, Avery, and love the close community here.  I plan to stick around for many, many years. I'm incredibly family oriented; spending time with my daughter and parents is important to me.  I enjoy camping, fishing, traveling around the Northwest and spending many hours at the park. I'm very outdoorsy and love a new adventure.

My other favorite love is a great latte, or any coffee for that matter.  I generally have coffee in my hand or close by.  I'm laid back and open minded.  I don't get hung up on little things because life is too short to worry about all the small stuff.

I am thrilled to be working with a great team of teachers and look forward to a great school year with you and your child!
