Why Green Building?

Global green building market continues gaining large market share, doubling every three years and significantly increasing demand for green materials, products and technologies.

Certified buildings, or targeting certification, under the most recognized green building rating systems is to date beyond 3 billion square meters.

The forecast for sustainable building sector is to grow by 70% by 2025.

The global green and sustainable building industry is forecast to grow at an annual rate of 22.8% during 2017 as a result of increasing low carbon regulatory requirements and greater societal demand for greener products (Source: IbisWorld Report Top 10 Fastest Growing Industries)

Why Green Materials?

The rapidly dissemination of the green building rating systems, such as LEED®, BREEAM®, HQM®, GRIHA® and other relevant standards, is increasingly transforming the global demand for sustainable building products, components and technologies.

Increasing consumer demand has pushed the world’s green building market to a trillion dollar industry and the global green building materials market is expected to reach $234 billion by 2019 and $364.6 billion by 2022.

The construction sector is a key sector for India. The move towards green materials is underway with 20% expected growth of the market each year in India for the next three years as per forecasts. Indeed, this move is grounded in a new consciousnesses that one must take steps towards improving the sustainability of  building, infrastructure and bolstered by an increasing international shift towards green building materials and technologies.  Benefits such as increased energy efficiency; reduced environmental degradation and greenhouse gas emissions as well as ease of recycling - all contribute towards making this approach the most relevant for today.

Why Italy?

Italy is spokesman throughout the world for the values associated with the design and production of Italian-made goods and architecture, has strong competencies in a variety of green building materials, products and Systems, such as Perilite core bricks, eco-friendly flooring solutions, natural material, building systems, also with use of recycled materials.

Also a pioneer in innovative processing of materials, there are many technologies Italy has to offer, such as new ways to produce existing materials, creating entirely new usable materials out of what would have been otherwise waste materials and pioneering low maintenance, ultra durable, new materials, products and systems which have a positive green impact.

Adding a new dimension, there is a bouquet of sustainable building products, materials, components and technologies developed in Italy, a heritage of knowledge and skill, which improve the green quotient of existing brownfield buildings or the sustainable competencies in design teams for new buildings, thereby adding immense value to a wide range of projects.
