I’m currently a Professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil. I hold a PhD degree from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), a top 3 brazilian computer science department, advised by the professor Antonio Alfredo Ferreira Loureiro. My research interests rely on wireless networks, sensors networks, and mobile and ad hoc networks. In 2010, I received the Microsoft Latin American PhD Fellowship award, and spent the 2010′s summer as an intern at the Networked Embedded Computing group (NEC) in Microsoft Research, Redmond, USA, supervised by Jie Liu, PhD. In 2010/2011 I spent one year as a visiting researcher at the University of Ottawa, supervised by the professor Azzedine Boukerche.
