Queues are workflow management tools useful as transactions move through the process from one group to another. In addition, they work as pending folders so individual users may have visibility to what is awaiting completion or requires special attention.
New Queues may be added by clicking in the Mnemonic field and using "Tab" to move across the screen to complete entries.
To modify an existing Queue select the corresponding row number and mouse-click in the appropriate box.
Pressing F2 will activate cursor in box selected to override existing information.
"Tab" will move the cursor across the screen and is necessary to reflect any changes entered.
Definitions:
Mnemonic: a unique code up to 10 characters long. This is required and is used by the system, not shown in reports on any other screen.
Display Folder: Allows queues to be grouped into folders under the Queues menu.
Sort Order: Controls the order the items in the Queues menu.
Role(s) that can promote to: A semi-colon delimited list of Roles from HAAL who have access to Promote into this queue. If left blank, all users will be able to see this queue and promote items into it.
Role(s) that can remove from: A list of Roles who can Remove items from this queue. If there's a "Next Queue" defined, they will need permission to that queue as well.
Remote Modifications: when changes are detected from external systems, either from the Shipline service, or from X-Link, items are placed into this queue.
Remote Party: used by X-Link. Support will set this up for you if needed.
Notify Email: not used.
Max Hours: the maximum number of hours an item should be in the queue before it becomes highlighted red and considered overdue
The other items select which types of items can be included in the queue. For example, if "New Agreements" is selected and Agreement Type is "Sales Order", then all new Sales Orders will automatically be placed into that queue.
