I grew up in Amarillo, Texas.  After graduating from Amarillo High School, I attended West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas for my undergraduate and graduate work.  I attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock to complete my doctorate in education.

My teaching career consisted of teaching 2nd grade and elementary special education students.  Upon receiving my Master of Education degree, I became a school counselor and a licensed professional counselor.  After several years as a counselor, I was employed at Region 16 ESC in Amarillo for 13 years and enjoyed several roles there including being a Federal Programs Specialist, a Field Service Agent, and a Manager of Leadership Development and Compliance.  I spent a little over a year as an assistant superintendent in Spearman, Texas prior to coming here to Hunt.

I feel very lucky to live in this area and enjoy the beauty of the river!  My parents are a short three hours away, and my son is even closer!

I have an open door policy, or you can walk the halls with me too!  I will always be "Dedicated to Students and Committed to Excellence".
