Agreements

The final step before becoming a Partner Group of Humanists UK is signing the Data Protection, Child Safeguard and the Partnership Agreement documents.

The Data Protection Form - As part of the Partnership Agreement, Humanists UK will give Partner Groups certain data relating to Humanists UK members and supporters. People becoming new members or supporters of Humanists UK and those searching for Local Groups on the Local Groups Map can give permission for their personal details to be forwarded to local groups they are interested in. Partner groups will receive the names and email addresses of those Humanists UK members and supporters who have given their permission for this to happen. All groups must sign this form to receive this data.

The Child Safeguard Agreement  Humanists UK Public Liability Insurance does not cover our groups for unsupervised activities with children under the age of 18.  This document encourages groups to establish their own Child Safeguarding Policy and advises them what said policy should include.  It also asks the group to commit to safeguarding children and not engaging in activities with unsupervised under 18s.

The Partnership Agreement – This agreement, signed by both a representative from the group and the Chief Executive of Humanists UK, outlines the relationship between Partner Groups and Humanists UK. It includes what is asked of the local groups and an outline of the regular support that Humanists UK is committed to providing.

These agreements can be downloaded and signed and a scan emailed to groups@humanism.org.uk or posted to Humanists UK.
