What: This is a two-week, intensive experiential learning program based out of Alliant's Mexico City campus. It includes opportunities for home stays with families, Spanish language development, workshops with local professionals and visits to cultural and educational sites. Additionally, Alliant Master's course TES 7040: Development of Cross-Cultural Competencies will be offered with a special on-ground component during the program.
Who: This program is intended for professionals in the field of education
When: July 2 - 17, 2011
Where: Alliant's Mexico City campus with day trips throughout the region
Why: To gain firsthand understanding of Mexican cultural systems and their impact on the education of today's student and family in California
Cost: Cost of the program is $1700 per participant, inclusive of room, two meals per day and transportation/entry fees for group travel. Cost does not include airfare to/from Mexico City (arranged by participant) or tuition for optional course TES 7040 ($1680 - $500 scholarship for all trip participants = $1180).
